Roles and suitable courses
UAV pilot, drone maintenance technician, data analyst and software developer are some of the roles seeing significant demand for early career professionals, says Rama Krishna, Co-founder and CEO of EndureAir, which makes drones.
Referring to the courses one can pursue, he says UAV piloting, robotics, aerodynamics and programming (such as Python and C++) are good options. Alongside these, specialised training in GIS, remote sensing and mechatronic skills can be beneficial for roles involving data analysis, system integration and the design and maintenance of drone systems, he adds.
