wellness DISH PAM Inside medicines Potong: The Bangkok dining experience that feels like a story well told
chef Pam Pichaya Soontornyanakij's modern Thai-Cantonese storytelling. Diners eat inside a stunning Sino-Portuguese building where chef Pam's family lived and made traditional Chinese medicines for over 100 years. The space retains its charm and character. Dark molasses floors, exposed brick and jungle murals create a captivating blend of old and new, while a wall of medicinal brown bottles and kombucha-filled glass jars hints at Potong's alchemical artistry. Pam's philosophy rests on 5    elements — salt, acid, spice, texture and the Maillard reaction — each woven into an 11- course tasting menu. The dishes — modern interpretation of Pad Thai, a crab dish with roe, and duck — are beautifully composed, with bold yet familiar flavours, and presentations that avoid unnecessary frills.

MET security Banner information reports Canada's Indian-origin MP Chandra Arya barred from running under party's banner over alleged ties to India: Report
Canada's Liberal Party revoked Indian-origin MP Chandra Arya's bid to run for the party leadership and his nomination in his own Ottawa Nepean constituency over his alleged ties to the Indian government, a media report said on Wednesday. Citing a source with top-secret clearance, the Globe and Mail daily reported that Arya, who visited India last August and met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had not informed the government of that trip even though bilateral relations are in a deep freeze. The Liberals have never revealed why they barred the three-term Liberal MP from the party's recent leadership race or from running again in Nepean constituency, the paper said. Citing the source, the daily reported that the Canadian Security Intelligence Service had briefed the government about Arya's «alleged close ties to the government of India, including its High Commission in Ottawa». Liberal Party officials who have security clearances and had received a general CSIS briefing on foreign interference also had concerns about Arya, a Liberal source said. The decisions to remove Arya as a candidate for the leadership and Nepean nomination were solely made by the Liberal Party and were not on the advice of CSIS, sources said.

UPS Booking Aware PwC reports Awaiting an end to IndusInd Bank's ₹1,500 cr derivative loss saga
If any Mickey Mouse accounting goes on for years in the treasury, it would, however, be with the knowledge of the mid-office that monitors — or, is supposed to monitor — the risks and reports any breach to the treasurer and chief risk officer. In the sequence and hierarchy of these divisions that witness millions of bond, currency and derivative deals, the front office 'creates' the risk to make money, the mid office 'keeps tabs' of positions, and the back office records and reconciles. In some ways, a treasury is a bank within a bank. Among this cast of characters, some (directly reporting to the kingpin) would be typically aware of sharp practice; many lower in the ranks would blindly do what's told to them; and some would look the other way while letting the music go on. The army of auditors scrutinising the books, and probably call records and chats of IndusInd Bank officials, will have to ferret out exact quantum of losses, gaps in processes, and why the funny divergent accounting — booking profits while deferring losses of mirror derivative transactions — went on since 2016. It would hint who knew what, whether conflicted reporting arrangements fuelled the folly, and whether someone from the back office had ever raised a red flag.

Target security War reports prevention Scandals The ‘Radical Left’ Judge Trump can’t stand is now handling his team’s Signalgate scandal lawsuit
Trump administration, accusing them of violating federal record-keeping laws by discussing military operations on the encrypted messaging app Signal. The case, filed by American Oversight, names Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent as defendants. “The Federal Records Act requires federal officials to preserve communications related to official government business,” American Oversight stated in its lawsuit, which seeks to prevent the destruction of federal records and compel compliance with the law. At the heart of the case is an extraordinary blunder: journalist Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, was mistakenly added to the group chat in which senior Trump officials were reportedly discussing a planned strike in Yemen. The lawsuit, however, does not focus on the security breach itself but rather on the officials’ alleged failure to preserve these critical communications.
