Notably, the Opposition with 26 parties came up with a name for the alliance for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, announcing that it would be called the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, or INDIA.

Citi Cooper Compilation Govt slashes subsidised tomatoes’ price to Rs70 per kg
₹70 per kilogramme from Thursday from ₹80 per kg now.  The government is selling tomatoes to people at a subsidised rate of ₹80 a kg in Delhi-NCR and some other key cities through the National Cooperative Consumers' Federation of India (NCCF) and the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED). In the national capital, the rate of tomatoes has come down to ₹120 per kg. Although, the key kitchen item is selling as high as ₹245 per kg at some places.

The monsoon session of Parliament will consider 21 new Bills including those proposing to establish a comprehensive legal framework governing digital personal data protection, giving exemption to certain forest land from legal protection, Bill to replace controversial Ordinance on Delhi services, repeal of 65 obsolete legislation and tighter regulation of multi-state cooperative societies.  About seven bills already passed by either of the Houses or have been reviewed by Parliamentary committees will also be taken up for passage in the monsoon session starting Thursday. According to a bulletin issued by Lok Sabha Secretariat, 21 new bills and 7 old bills are proposed to be taken up during the monsoon session that would begin on July 20 and run for 17 (working) days till August 11.
