Putin says Russia will accomplish 'all goals set' in Ukraine
Vladimir Putin on Monday vowed that Moscow would accomplish all goals it has set for itself in Ukraine, in its third year of conflict. «The truth is on our side. All goals set will be achieved,» Putin said in a video message released to mark the second anniversary of what Russia calls «Reunification Day», when Moscow annexed four Ukrainian regions. After it sent troops into Ukraine in February 2022, Russia annexed the regions of Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson. It does not fully control all territory in these regions.

Russia may annex more Ukrainian regions, Medvedev says
Dmitry Medvedev suggested Saturday that Moscow may annex more regions of Ukraine, as he marked one year since the Kremlin claimed four Ukrainian territories as its own. Moscow held elections in the four regions this month, but does not fully control any of them and is currently battling a Ukrainian counteroffensive to take them back. «The special military operation will continue until the complete destruction of the Nazi regime in Kyiv,» said Medvedev, who now serves as deputy chair of Russia's Security Council. «Victory will be ours.

Russia’s Central Bank Goes to War. Is Cryptocurrency a Friend or Foe?
In January 2022, the Central Bank of Russia (CBR) proposed a number of measures aimed at curtailing the country’s cryptocurrency market, which included a blanket ban on the use and mining of all cryptocurrencies. It pointed out risks posed by the volatile nature of cryptocurrencies to the financial stability of the country, the extensive use of crypto in illegal activity and the energy costs involved in crypto mining. However, the utility of blockchain technology didn’t escape the CBR. The following month, it announced that it had started the pilot stage of the digital ruble, its planned central bank digital currency (CBDC).
