Job done, stop Israel from over-overkill
Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran and Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr in Beirut within hours of each other on Tuesday-Wednesday, Israel has successfully conducted what it had purportedly set out to do: take out what lay at the core of the Hamas October 7, 2023, attacks on Israel that led to more than 1,000 deaths and over 250 people taken hostage by the Palestinian terrorist group. In the process, Tel Aviv has pushed the region further to wider conflict. Predictably, Iran has vowed vengeance. It is now the job of Israel's allies, especially the US, to ensure that Tel Aviv doesn't go for an over-overkill. Further escalation must be nipped in the bud.

Now, Israel is using drones and different types of missiles, weapons and intelligence-gathering equipment to hunt and kill Hezbollah leaders, reports 'Los Angeles Times'.

Will Kamala Harris support Israel in its fight against Hamas if elected president? Former NSA John Bolton has said this
US-Israel relations move forward if Democrat Kamala Harris is elected president? What will be her approach to the ongoing Israel- Gaza War if it is stretched to the time she takes over? Will Kamala Harris increase financial aid and supply more weapons to the Jewish state in its fight against Hamas, which has been banned as a terrorist organization by the US? These questions are looming large over Washington as well as Tel Aviv.

‘A Rubik’s cube in the sky’: Israel struggles to defend against drones
KIRYAT SHMONA, Israel—On Friday, Israel’s vaunted aerial-defense system tracked 65 rockets fired across its northern border by the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, intercepting some and letting the rest fall harmlessly into open areas. That same day, Israel missed a single drone it believes flew more than 1,000 miles from Yemen to explode in the commercial capital Tel Aviv. Israel has a problem with drones.

Israeli military says it has struck several Houthi targets in Yemen in response to attacks
Houthi targets in western Yemen following a fatal drone attack by the rebel group in Tel Aviv the previous day. The Israeli strikes appeared to be the first on Yemeni soil since the Israel-Hamas war began in October, and they threatened to open a new front in the region as Israel battles proxies of Iran. A number of «military targets» were hit in the western port city of Hodeidah, a Houthi stronghold, the Israeli army said, adding that its attack was «in response to the hundreds of attacks carried out against the state of Israel in recent months.»

Israel’s army must start drafting ultra-orthodox, high court rules
TEL AVIV—Israel’s military must begin drafting ultra-Orthodox Jewish students, the country’s Supreme Court ruled Tuesday, in a decision likely to put pressure on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s right-wing coalition as Israel fights its war in Gaza. A unanimous panel of judges ruled that there is no legal basis for exempting ultra-Orthodox religious scholars after a series of laws and government decisions carving out service exemptions were either struck down by the court or expired.

Meta said on Wednesday it had found «likely AI-generated» content used deceptively on its Facebook and Instagram platforms, including comments praising Israel's handling of the war in Gaza published below posts from global news organizations and U.S. lawmakers. The social media company, in a quarterly security report, said the accounts posed as Jewish students, African Americans and other concerned citizens, targeting audiences in the United States and Canada. It attributed the campaign to Tel Aviv-based political marketing firm STOIC.
