Asian Champions India are set to go against Australia in a 3 match ODI series from 22 September. The series is crucial as it comes just ahead of the ODI World Cup 2023. The Team India squads for the India-Australia ODI series was announced on Monday and spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is also placed in the squad.

India is set to take on Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup final on Sunday at the Colombo Stadium. India was the first to enter the final with a thumping 41-run win over a spirited Sri Lanka in a Super 4 match earlier this week. Hence, the loss to Bangladesh on Friday did not affect its chances as it already entered the final with four points and a much better run rate than other teams. Later, Sri Lanka also secured its berth in the Asia Cup final after snatching a two-wicket victory over Pakistan on Thursday. Meanwhile, India has called Washington Sundar as a cover for the injured Axar Patel for the Asia Cup final against Sri Lanka on Sunday. Axar sustained several injuries during India's six-run loss to Bangladesh in their last Super Four match on Friday. Sri Lanka off-spinner Maheesh Theekshana has also been ruled out of the Asia Cup final clash against India on Sunday due to a hamstring injury.
