India (BCCI) announced India's squad for the next tournament on Monday. India will take on Australia in a three-match ODI series, which is considered a big opportunity for both teams to test players and make a few adjustments ahead of the mega event, the ICC Cricket World Cup.
The series opener will be played on September 22 in Mohali.
Wicket-keeper batter KL Rahul will lead the Men in Blue in the first two ODIs against Australia. Meanwhile, experienced spinner R Ashwin has also returned to the ODI set-up and will be with the team for all three matches.
Senior players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been rested for the first two matches, but they will play in the final encounter.
