IIT Delhi to set up campus in Abu Dhabi
IIT Delhi campus in the Gulf country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi is the second IIT to announce setting up an offshore campus after IIT Madras. Last week, IIT Madras signed an MoU for setting up a campus in Tanzania's Zanzibar. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted to congratulate IIT Delhi for signing MoU. «An exemplar of New India's innovation and expertise, the IIT Delhi campus in UAE will be an edifice of India and UAE friendship. It will set a brand new template for leveraging the power of knowledge for both mutual prosperity and global good as envisioned in NEP,» he added.

Oil prices dipped in early Asian trade on Monday as investors tread cautiously ahead of fresh economic data from top consumers the United States and China this week, while expected crude supply cuts from Saudi Arabia and Russia supported the market. Brent crude futures fell 22 cents, or 0.3%, to $78.25 a barrel by 0107 GMT, and U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude was at $73.57 a barrel, down 29 cents, or 0.4%.

Russia bills Indian refiners at a price shade less than the USD 60 per barrel price cap imposed by the West but charges anything between USD 11 to USD 19 per barrel, twice the normal rate, for delivery from the Baltic and Black Sea to the west coast, three sources with knowledge of the matter said.

India, ASEAN most buoyant FDI recipients: UNCTAD
Foreign direct investment (FDI) in developing countries in Asia remained flat year-on-year at $662 billion during 2022, despite clocking about half of global inflows, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) said Wednesday in its World Investment Report 2023. India and ASEAN were the most buoyant recipients, with increases of 10 and 5%, respectively, and strong growth in project announcements, it said. FDI inflows were higher in developing countries compared with those in developed economies.
