You do you, boo boo.» Johnson went on to interpret the song as a patriotic one, asserting, «If being patriotic makes you an outlaw, then by God, I'll be an outlaw.» Several artists, including Travis Tritt, John Rich and Lee Greenwood, have defended Aldean, while others, such as Jason Isbell, Adeem the Artist, Margo Price and Sheryl Crow have criticized both the song and Aldean. The controversy began when Aldean released «Try That in a Small Town» in May and performed it during his set at CMA Fest in June. The song and its video drew swift criticism on social media, with commenters calling it racist and pro-gun. CMT subsequently removed the video from rotation, sparking mixed reactions.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation has issued an Amber Alert for a missing 1-year-old girl, Ta’yonni Johnson, from Warner Robins, Georgia, who is believed to have been abducted by 22-year-old Calvin Williams Johnson. The details about their relationship remain unknown. Ta’yonni Johnson is described as a Black female with black hair and brown eyes, while Calvin Williams Johnson is a Black male with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5′07″ tall and weighing 140 lbs. The last known sighting of Ta’yonni and Calvin Johnson was at 2699 Watson Boulevard in Warner Robins, Georgia. They were heading east in a 2003 Silver Jeep Liberty with the Georgia license plate CSX5096. The Amber Alert report emphasizes that Ta’yonni is in extreme danger, urging the public to report any information to 911 or the Warner Police Department at 229-886-0317. The Amber Alert program operates with the help of a collaborative effort between law enforcement agencies, transportation agencies, broadcasters and the wireless industry. Its purpose is to rapidly disseminate urgent bulletins in cases of serious child abductions, mobilizing the community to aid in the safe recovery of the missing child.

(Reuters) — U.S. stock index futures crept higher on Friday, setting the Dow on track for its tenth straight day of gains, while megacap growth and technology stocks recovered after sharp losses in the previous session.

Nasdaq fell on Thursday, weighed down by drops in Tesla and Netflix following their quarterly results, but the Dow advanced for a ninth straight day thanks to gains in Johnson & Johnson following a strong annual forecast. Tesla's shares tumbled after the electric-vehicle maker reported a drop in its second-quarter gross margins to a four-year low and CEO Elon Musk hinted at more price cuts. Netflix also slumped after the streaming video company's quarterly revenue fell short of estimates.
