This is because SNL was immediately impacted by the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike and had to shut shop until the protests are on. This year will be Saturday Night Live Season 49. Saturday Night Live Season 48 premiered on October 1, 2022. It was hosted by Miles Teller, with singer Kendrick Lamar as the musical guest. SNL Season 48 could produce and telecast 18 episodes. However, the remaining three episodes could not be aired because of the strike. SNL Season 48 ended on April 15, 2023, with Ana de Armas as the host and Karol G as the musical guest.
