Storm Hilary on Sunday evening, saturating areas from the coastline to the inland mountains and deserts. This led to rescue operations in response to rising rivers and compelled some of the largest school districts in the country to cancel classes on Monday. Hilary caused intensified precipitation to the region, resulting in considerable rainfall in mountainous and desert locales. Some of these areas received over half of the average annual rainfall in just a single day. Notably, Palm Springs, a desert resort city, received nearly 3 inches of rainfall by Sunday evening. The storm's impact included the uprooting of trees and the triggering of mudslides in the San Diego vicinity. As President Joe Biden prepared to travel to Hawaii on Monday to assess the aftermath of devastating wildfires in Maui, he urged all individuals in the storm's path to exercise caution and adhere to the guidance provided by state and local authorities.

She expressed her willingness to let go of the diamond engagement ring gifted by Asghari. Now, as per media reports, Britney seeks the custody of their pups in exchange for the engagement ring. The singer was spotted without her ring days before the divorce report came in. Apparently, Asghari is not sure if Spears will be able to take care of their dogs and maybe mean to them. In 2021, her dogs were taken away from her because of neglect. Sam Asghari also is seeking a higher prenup amount and maintenance from Britney Spears to support him, and also pay for his lawyer, and his other costs. When Sam Asghari gifted the Doberman pup Porsha to Britney Spears, he had said in a video on social media that Porsha will be «trained to protect (Britney) from any m**rf**r that comes around with bad intentions.» Britney Spears had gotten the blue-eyed Australian Shepherd Sawyer when the couple was in Maui. She had shared the adorable pup’s pictures on social media with the lovely message: «I think he understands me especially with those eyes...he makes my heart melt...he needs me and I like that !!!!!».

The Federal Emergency Management Agency said Friday it has approved more than $5.6 million in assistance to nearly 2,000 households in Maui so far as the federal government tries to help survivors of the devastating wildfires

Maui's Emergency Management Agency chief Herman Andaya quit abruptly on Thursday while citing health reasons. The resignation by Andaya came a day after the key official said that he did not regret not using the sirens to warn about the wildfires that have claimed the lives of at least 111 people. Maui County Mayor Richard Bissen accepted Andaya's resignation effective immediately and noted that someone else would be appointed in his place soon.

Maui County Emergency Management administrator Herman Andaya, criticized by local residents and media over the island's response to the deadly wildfires that killed at least 111 people, resigned on Thursday, officials said. A statement from Maui County Mayor Richard Bissen cited health reasons. «Given the gravity of the crisis we are facing, my team and I will be placing someone in this key position as quickly as possible and I look forward to making that announcement soon,» Bissen said.
