One of the most unexpected talking points in U.S elections, did Kamala Harris work at McDonald's? Here's the answer
Kamala Harris has often referred to her time when she used to work at McDonald's early in her life during school days which reflects her understanding of the struggles of working families. According to The Telegraph, Donald Trump has argued claiming that it was a lie to gain favor from the voters and he also asserted that he confirmed with the manager of a McDonald’s restaurant that Kamala Harris was never an employee there. The Telegraph reported that McDonald's authority has made themselves distanced from this debate with the statement that they are not able to verify this information due to lack of employee records from the 1980s of this brand. McDonald’s employees have been instructed to avoid the discussion at the location from where the claim comes from. Also Read: What would happen if Trump and Harris tie at 269 votes each? Donald Trump makes surprising visit to McDonald's store during US election 2024 campaign. Here's why
Donald Trump visited a McDonald's in Pennsylvania on Sunday as he stepped up his criticism of Democrat Kamala Harris and dug into his claim, spread without offering evidence, that she never worked at the fast-food chain while in college, as per AP report. The former president visited a McDonalds in Feasterville-Trevose, which is part of Bucks County, a swing area northeast of Philadelphia. Harris has talked during her campaign about her experiences as a fry cook at McDonalds and Trump planned to try his hand before heading to an evening town hall in Lancaster before attending the Pittsburgh Steelers home game against the New York Jets, AP reported. The McDonald's owner, Derek Giacomantonio said, «It is a fundamental value of my organization that we proudly open our doors to everyone who visits the Feasterville community.»
