Chinese telecom equipment meant for Pak army ends up in hands of terrorists in J-K
Encounters with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir have led to the seizure of highly encrypted Chinese telecom gear "Ultra Set", an equipment used by the Pakistani army that has ended up in the hands of terror groups, officials said. This has also raised concerns over undetected infiltrations from across the Line of Control and terrorists potentially residing in the outskirts of cities and villages, they said. The seizure of the mobile handsets used by foreign terrorists, primarily from Pakistan and its occupied Kashmir, indicate that terror groups are receiving training, weapons and ammunition from state actors in Pakistan, said the officials aware of the matter.

China enhances military support to Pakistan along LoC in Kashmir
Pakistan's key ally China has been actively bolstering the defence capabilities of the Pakistani army along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir over the past three years which includes the construction of steelhead bunkers and the provision of Unmanned Aerial and Combat Aerial Vehicles, officials said on Wednesday. Chinese assistance also extends to the installation of highly encrypted communication towers and the laying of underground fibre cables along the LoC. Moreover, advanced radar systems of Chinese origin, such as the 'JY' and 'HGR' series, have been deployed to enhance medium and low altitude target detection capabilities, providing crucial intelligence support for army and air defence units, they said. Additionally, the presence of the SH-15, a 155 mm truck-mounted howitzer gun manufactured by a Chinese firm, has been noticed at various locations along the LoC.

VCs chasing Indian studios working on complex games
Indian studios working on complex games that require heavy investments — so far the sole domain of international publishers like Krafton and Garena — are seeing increased interest from investors, helped in part by fast-maturing consumer and talent cohorts. These studios are working on midcore and hardcore games, which generally have higher complexity compared to casual games like Ludo and require a higher level of involvement and time commitment from the player. In India, the most popular games in this genre — like Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), FreeFire, Call of Duty and Fortnite — are all from international publishers such as Krafton, Garena, Riot Games and Epic Games. Such games are often rated AA or AAA, which signifies their high development and marketing values.

Oppo, Realme and OnePlus to have separate sales operations
smartphone manufacturer BBK Group, which was using Oppo Mobiles India as the sales and distribution company for three brands such as Oppo, Realme and OnePlus, is breaking this sales structure to de-risk the business which is under increased government scrutiny. The plan is to let individual brands have its own sales and marketing team so that all brands are not clubbed together in case of further government action. Realme Mobile Telecommunications (India) has started wholesale sales of Realme smartphones and other tech products through this entity, as per the company's latest regulatory filings to the Registrar of Companies (RoC) sourced from business intelligence platform Tofler.
