Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH), which had recently saved 67 lives during cyclonic weather in Gujarat, was forced to make an emergency landing in the Arabian Sea during a rescue operation about 45 km from Porbandar. The incident occurred around 11 pm on Monday while the helicopter was conducting a medical evacuation for a seriously injured crew member aboard the Indian-flagged Motor Tanker Hari Leela, in response to a request from the vessel's Master. The helicopter took off around 11 pm on Monday. As it approached the vessel, the chopper had to make an emergency landing at sea. The Indian Coast Guard has stated that the cause of this emergency landing is still under investigation. The helicopter was carrying four aircrew members. One crew member has been recovered from the crash site, but the search for the remaining three continues. The wreckage of the aircraft has been located.

Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) franchises are expecting double-digit growth in sponsorship revenue from season 11 of the tournament that tentatively kicks off in October. The franchises cite PKL's consistent audience growth and low entry barrier in terms of cost compared to the Indian Premier League as evidence of its effectiveness in brand building. PKL's TV reach has jumped to 245 million in season 10, up from 222 million in season 9 and 189 million in season 8. JSW Group-owned Haryana Steelers' CEO Divyanshi Singh said the franchise is anticipating 12-15% growth in sponsorship revenue in season 11 compared with season 10.

Puma said it continued to be India's largest sports and apparel brand on the back of a 10% increase in sales last calendar year amid top management attrition and slowing demand for discretionary products. For the fiscal year ended December, its revenue stood at ₹3,274 crore, as per filings with the Registrar of Companies, much higher than that of rivals Adidas, Nike and Reebok and Skechers, and fast fashion brands Zara and H&M. Puma said it is shifting its strategy to a sports and performance-first brand instead of just lifestyle and athleisure.
