Modi 3.0 Budget 2024: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the first budget of Modi 3.0 government in the second half of July. Industries, farmers and other stakeholders across sectors are eagerly anticipating potential booster announcements from the Narendra Modi government in the upcoming budget. Among these hopeful groups are taxpayers also, who are particularly expecting relief from the Finance Minister in form of tax sops. Union Home Ministry on Monday handed over the probe into the recent terror attack on a bus in Jammu and Kashmir to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), officials said. Nine people, including three women were killed, and 41 injured as a bus carrying pilgrims from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi plunged into a deep gorge after an ambush by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district on June 9. The investigation into the June 9 terror attack on a bus in Jammu and Kashmir has been handed over to the NIA, an official said.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is expected to present the maiden budget of the Modi 3.0 government in the third week of July. The finance minister, who will be presenting her sixth straight full-fledged Union Budget next month, is expected to announce tax changes in the form of new deductions and exemptions within the new tax regime, according to experts, as they do not see the government revisiting tax slabs or introducing any new changes in the old tax regime.
