This will help polling staff quickly locate their names on the electoral rolls, thereby saving everyone's time,» an official told The Times of India.

Indian Oil Corp Ltd (IOCL), India's largest oil marketing company has completed the Rs 148 crore deal to acquire oil and gas company Mercator Petroleum, its first acquisition through the insolvency and bankruptcy code (IBC). The deal was completed on Tuesday after the company transferred the amount to lead lender Bank of Baroda (BoB), people familiar with the matter said. The Rs 148 crore deal amounts to about 31% recovery for total admitted dues of Rs 482 crore. Secured creditors are to receive Rs 135 crore for their admitted claims of Rs 291 crore, while operational creditors including employees and vendors are to receive Rs 5.40 crore against their total admitted claims of Rs 73 crore. IOCL is also supposed to bear the process cost of Rs 8.7 crore. “The money was received and distributed among the creditors this week. There are some procedural things to be completed before IOCL will be given complete charge of the company in the next week or so,” said a person familiar with the deal.

Vaccines manufacturer Serum Institute of India (SII) on Friday said it is acquiring 20 per cent stake in IntegriMedical, to advance needle-free injection system technology. IntegriMedical has developed a US patented needle-free Injection System (N-FIS) that utilises high-velocity jet stream using mechanical power to effectively and consistently administer biologics and drugs, Serum Institute of India (SII) said in a statement. The company, however, did not disclose the financial details of the transaction. The innovative drug delivery solution aims to alleviate pain during administration, providing needle-phobic patients with a stress-free experience.

voters and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) cast their votes using the home voting facility in all seven parliamentary constituencies of Delhi on the first day of the exercise on Thursday, according to official data. The home voting facility is available to voters above 85 years of age and PwDs, offering them the option to cast their votes from their homes. The facility, which started on May 16, will be available till May 24, the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Delhi said. Delhi goes to polls on May 25.
