Office Turmoil Roils Ground-Lease Negotiations
For over a century in New York, commercial-property investors have carved up the value of the city’s skyscrapers by separating the land from the building and trading the pieces separately. Oregon, according to reports. Severe weather is expected in the central and northern Plains, where thunderstorms could bring damaging winds and large hail later in the day and at night, according to AccuWeather. The Desert Southwest and West Coast will continue to experience scorching temperatures on Independence Day, as stated by the National Weather Service. Northern California and western Oregon are anticipated to face record-breaking heat, with temperatures expected to rise into the 90s and low 100s, according to the weather service. AccuWeather also predicts that temperatures along portions of I-5, from Seattle to Medford, Oregon, may challenge daily record highs, as per USA Today report. The Desert Southwest will experience highs well into the triple digits, resulting in an excessive heat warning in effect for Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona. In other regions, such as the Southeast, Plains, Midwest, and parts of the Northeast, it will be another day of the heat and humidity that July is known for, according to Weather.com meteorologist Chris Dolce. The central Great Plains can expect scattered severe thunderstorms from late afternoon into Tuesday night, with severe thunderstorm gusts being the primary concern, according to the Storm Prediction Center. In the Northeast, local downpours may impact holiday plans in parts of upstate New York and New England, but the majority of the stormy weather should stay away from the Interstate 95 corridor. While storms are likely to hit the coast in Virginia and the Carolinas. Dolce advises being prepared to seek shelter if thunder is heard during any outdoor activities, as these storms will be sporadic in most areas.
