Airtel Q2 showed resilience amid rate hikes, top level changes to be non-disruptive: Analysts
Bharti Airtel’s revenue growth was higher than larger rival Reliance Jio’s which lost 11 million subscribers, analysts said, indicating a higher resilience from the nation’s second largest telecom operator. In addition, brokerage Citi Research said it does not expect the change in leadership in Airtel which was announced Monday to be very disruptive. “This should be further supported by Bharti’s strong established credentials and our view that the peak of competitive intensity is behind us”. Market analysts said that Airtel’s user loss was mainly amongst low-ARPU (average revenue per user) subscribers, which combined with 0.8 million net additions in the postpaid user base, showed the Sunil Mittal-led operator’s success in premiumising its subscriber mix.

Gurmeet Chadha on 4 auto stocks to buy on dips
Gurmeet Chadha, Co-Founder & CEO, Complete Circle Consultants, says it is a little too early to comment on the festive season because we are not even midway of it, but if the trend continues, then there could be a little bit of derating in auto stocks because none of them trade below 25-30 times. Chadha also says that amongst two-wheelers, we have TVS Holdings also which is the holding company which they bought and Sundaram Clayton is in the portfolio. So, among the stocks that they would buy on a correction like this, TVS would be the first, followed by Bajaj Auto. He is more interested in auto ancillaries, including names like Sandhar Technologies and Uno Minda.

Bitcoin eyes $60K with better than expected inflation data in the US
Bitcoin experienced steady growth over the past week recovering from a low of $54,000 to currently trading at $58,000.The week began with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) releasing a comprehensive report on global crypto scams in 2023, revealing staggering losses. The U.S. topped the list, with over $4.8 billion lost to crypto scams, followed by Canada and the UK. India ranked fifth, with reported losses exceeding $44 million. To avoid falling for such scams, one must Research thoroughly before investing, avoid too-good-to-be-true offers and only use trusted platforms for investing. The presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris was the most anticipated, where the crypto community expected a focus on crypto regulation. However, the debate largely centered on other pressing issues such as economic uncertainty, inflation, and abortion rights, with no mention of crypto. This omission left many in the crypto community disappointed, leading to brief selling pressure on Bitcoin. Despite this dip, Bitcoin quickly recovered within a few hours. The same day saw the release of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) data, which showed better-than-expected inflation numbers. This data provided certainty to the crypto community that there will surely be a rate cut in the upcoming FOMC meeting strengthening the market sentiment.
