How to strengthen the stability and the growth and development of the world should be a common objective.»

NEW DELHI : India’s external affairs minister S. Jaishankar on Tuesday pitched for South Korea to participate in India-led initiatives such as the International Solar Alliance, the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure, and the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative. Jaishankar is in South Korea for a two-day visit, during which he will chair a joint commission meeting with his Korean counterpart.

Pakistan on Sunday protested India's «unjustified seizure» of commercial goods destined for Karachi, saying the consignment was a «simple case» of import of a commercial lathe machine by a commercial entity which supplies parts to the automobile industry in this country. The comments by the Foreign Office came after security agencies at Mumbai's Nhava Sheva port intercepted and seized the consignment of a Karachi-bound ship from China after it was found carrying a dual-use consignment with implications for Pakistan's nuclear and ballistic missile programmes. Customs officials, acting on intelligence, halted the Malta-flagged merchant ship — CMA CGM Attila — en route to Karachi on January 23 and, during its inspection, found that the consignment had a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine, manufactured by an Italian company, known for its precision and efficiency controlled by a computer system.

The cult franchise Drishyam is all set to go global after garnering massive success in the India and China markets. Producers Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak announced the Korean remake of the thriller franchise at the Cannes Film Festival 2023, and now they have announced the franchise’s new milestone. Panorama Studios have joined hands with Gulfstream Pictures and JOAT Films to make Drishyam in Hollywood. Gulfstream Pictures, co-founded by Mike Karz and Bill Binley, have produced the romantic comedy Blended, which reunited Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, and the workplace comedy Upgraded, starring Camila Mendes, Marisa Tomei and Lena Olin.

On February 27, South Korea’s leading crypto exchange, Upbit, added support for two alternative cryptocurrencies (altcoins) – Altlayer (ALT) and Pyth Network (PYTH). Since their listing, both altcoins have experienced major double-digit price surges, reflecting the ongoing bullish momentum in the crypto market.

Zeno Health, which runs a chain of generic medicine-focussed pharmacies, has raised $25 million from investors led by Korean private equity firm STIC Investments. Existing investor Lightbox Ventures was a significant participant in the Series C funding round.
