Pakistan (ECP) has not yet announced the final poll results. Meanwhile, according to the unofficial provisional results reported by Geo News for 241 out of 266 seats, the independent candidates, mostly backed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) are leading with 97 seats.

He announced that he has tasked his younger brother and PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif to reach out to the Pakistan Peoples' Party's Asif Ali Zardari, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Fazlur Rehman and Muttahida Qaumi Movement's Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui for the formation of a coalition government.

Dawn, the provisional results released by the Election Commission of Pakistan showed that independent candidates, mostly backed by former Prime Minister Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party (PTI), were leading the poll results. The voting was held in 265 of the 266 constituencies in Pakistan's National Assembly and a political party needs 133 seats for a simple majority.

According to details, shared by The Dawn, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) prepared the Election Management System (EMS) app for transmission of results from each polling station to a centralized system where the Returning Offices would complete the tabulation of all results. However, Presiding Officers at several polling stations on Thursday evening found themselves unable to transmit the final results of their respective stations using the much-touted and homegrown system, the Dawn Newspaper reported, adding, an absence of connectivity.

Dera Bugti (Balochistan): Exposing the atrocities of the Pakistan Army, the Baloch Republican Party has claimed that the labour quarters of Sui town in Dera Bugti district have been sealed by the enforcement agencies. Taking the matter to the social media platform 'X' on Sunday, the spokesperson of the party, Sher Mohammad Bugti, claimed that so far, 150 people have been taken into custody by the law enforcement agencies of Pakistan at the Sui Gas field.

Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi has issued visas to the Indian Davis Cup team, including the support staff, to play the Davis Cup World Group -1 Playoff Tie between Pakistan and India.
