markets Software Experts War stars Is World War III underway? The 'Prophet of Doom' predicts technological war by end of 2024
Athos Salome, a 36-year-old Brazilian parapsychologist widely known as the “Living Nostradamus,” has gained attention for his unsettling predictions about future global crises. In a recent interview with The Daily Star, Salome issued a dire warning about an impending World War III, one that he claims will be fought not on traditional battlefields but through technology and global systems collapse. Salome, who previously predicted major events like the COVID-19 pandemic, Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter (now rebranded as X), and the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, believes humanity is on the verge of a pivotal shift in modern warfare. He predicts that by the end of 2024, signs of this unconventional conflict will emerge, marked by a “technological war.” “This is not just a war of men but of machines,” Salome told The Daily Star. His forecast highlights the increasing reliance on advanced technologies in conflicts and suggests a significant transformation in how nations confront each other during times of war.

China has maintained its substantial military presence along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with India since the Galwan Valley clash in June 2020, according to the latest Pentagon report released on Wednesday. Despite some troop disengagements in certain areas, the People's Liberation Army (PLA) has not scaled back its positions or numbers. «PLA has not drawn down its positions or troop numbers since the 2020 clash and has built infrastructure and support facilities to maintain multiple brigade deployments along the LAC,» the report states. The Pentagon's annual assessment indicates that China has kept approximately 120,000 troops stationed along the 3,488-km-long LAC, which stretches from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh. In addition to the soldiers, the PLA has stationed heavy weapon systems, including tanks, howitzers, surface-to-air missiles, and other advanced military equipment. The report further highlights that over 20 combined arms brigades (CABs) remain in forward locations across the western, middle, and eastern sectors of the LAC.

Strategy Software Trade track country 2020 peace 2024, the year India defeated China's salami-slicing strategy
China Sea to Himalayan frontiers, Beijing’s methodical approach has left neighbouring countries scrambling to respond. China shares its border with more than a dozen countries and it has had border disputes with at least six of them over the past few years. On its border disputes with its neighbors, China has mostly gone unchallenged, gradually pushing its salami-slicing strategy forward. But 2024 was a turning point: India was the first country in past few decades to decisively stop China in its tracks and refuse to yield to its tried-and-tested game. Regarding our current predicament with our neighbours on the continent, I realize it risks a rebuke from Elon Musk to say so but if Americans had elected Kamala Harris last month, we would not currently be in a national panic about access to the U.S. market, and no one within 100 miles of the White House would be making sophomoric jokes about “Governor Justin Trudeau” of the “Great State of Canada.”
