Student loan forgiveness update: Biden administration now can move for student debt relief after court order. Details here
Joe Biden will move forward with to forgive students' loans as the new rule of a federal judge has let a temporary order expire on it. Joe Biden may move forward with the plan of forgiving student debt just weeks before the US presidential election, and it will also deliver relief to the millions of Americans. As per an estimate by the Center for American Progress, the plan of the Biden administration could benefit many students as well as every four federal student loan holders when it is aligned to the administration's previous effort, as per CNBC. Republican former president George W. Bush has appointed U.S. District Judge Randal Hall in Georgia, who has given rule in favor of Biden administration on late Wednesday. The declaration came as an important win for the current administration to forgive the debts of students. Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, North Dakota, and Ohio have challenged the Biden administration's plan of forgiving students' loans by filing a lawsuit.

Republicans blocks Senate IVF bill, despite Trump’s backing; Joe Biden slams move as ‘outrageous’
Senate has failed to pass legislation to create a national right to in vitro fertilisation (IVF), with Republicans blocking the effort for a second time this year. The vote was 51-44, falling short of the 60 votes needed. Only two Republican senators, Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, supported the bill. Vice President Kamala Harris criticized the Senate's decision, saying Republicans have shown they will not protect access to fertility treatments. President Joe Biden also expressed his disappointment, calling the situation «outrageous and unacceptable.» Democrats, led by Senator Tammy Duckworth of Illinois, accused Republicans of hypocrisy. Duckworth pointed out that many Republicans claim to support IVF but refuse to vote for legislation guaranteeing its availability. “They say they support IVF—here you go, vote on this," Duckworth said.

'First-of-its-kind' space travel reality series to get $50 million from Banijay Asia
Banijay Asia plans to invest $50 million (over Rs 400 crore) in a «first-of-its-kind» reality series tentatively titled 'Race to Space', making it India's most expensive television show, sources close to the development said. The investment will cover the licensing fee to the US-based Space Exploration and Research Agency (SERA) as well as production and talent costs, they added. Industry watchers said 'Bigg Boss Hindi', hosted by Bollywood star Salman Khan, is currently the country's most expensive non-fiction show, with budgets exceeding Rs 150 crore. «Given the scale and scope of the project, this is not just a documentary series or just a reality series — it is a 'space programme',» Banjay Asia CEO Deepak Dhar said. The new reality format will revolutionise competitive reality television and rekindle interest in space exploration, he added. Expressing optimism about the show's success in India, SERA co-founder Joshua Skurla cited the interest in last year's Chandrayaan-3 moon landing live-stream.
