In the metro Buffalo area, where only a few inches of snowfall are possible, significant snowfall totals are not anticipated. The eastern shores of Lake Ontario on the Tug Hill Plateau in central New York are expected to receive very heavy snowfall. On Tuesday afternoon, the winds will shift to the northwest resulting in snowfall in Syracuse, New York, metro. Besides, Tug Hill Plateau is likely to receive more than 2 feet of snow.
