What a Serbian cave tells you about the weather 2,500 years ago
weather depends partly on what the northern polar jet stream is up to. Jet streams are powerful and persistent winds that snake around the Earth from west to east, several miles above the surface. The meanderings of the northern polar jet stream can bring cold air down from the Arctic over the American Midwest, or send waves of Atlantic storms crashing into Ireland or Scandinavia.

The incident refers to the Canadian Parliament giving an ovation to 98-year-old Yaroslav Hunka who served a Nazi unit in Worl War II. Vivek Ramaswamy’s position earned rebukes from the other Republican Presidential hopefuls Nikki Haley and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who said Washington should support Kyiv against Russia’s war against the country.

Hong Kong makes pre-arrival registration mandatory for Indian travellers
Hong Kong Immigration Department has made pre-arrival registration mandatory for Indian travellers. Indian nationals travelling to Hong Kong will need to complete a pre-arrival registration process online before they board their flight. «Indian nationals must apply for and successfully complete pre-arrival registration online before they can visit or transit the HKSAR visa-free (if seeking to enter the HKSAR during transit). Pre-arrival registration is not required for Indian nationals in direct transit by air and not leaving the airport transit area,» the Hong Kong Immigration Department said on its website. An Indian national can make use of the online service to apply for pre-arrival registration free of charge if he/she: Upon successful registration, travelers will receive a computer-generated notification slip. This slip must be printed on A4-sized paper and presented at the airline’s check-in counter. The details on the notification slip must match the traveler’s passport information exactly. Failure to present this document may result in denied boarding. «When applying for pre-arrival registration, the registrant must truthfully enter the correct information. The information the registrant provides in the pre-arrival registration needs to be exactly the same as it appears in his/her passport and he/she must use the same passport that is linked to it when visiting the HKSAR,» Honk Kong immigration department has warned travellers.

Bitcoin’s grip on crypto eases after climb in smaller tokens like XRP
Bitcoin’s revival. Gauges tracking the bottom half and 30 mid-tier tokens in MarketVector’s index of the largest 100 digital assets are up 16% and 14% respectively so far in November — exceeding the wider measure’s 4% gain and a 1% rise in Bitcoin. As a result, Bitcoin’s share of the $1.38 trillion crypto market is down to about 49% from a peak of 51.5% in October, CoinGecko data shows. Digital-asset investors often view such a drop as a sign of growing risk appetite. “This rally is definitely broader and more sustained than any price action we have seen since January,” said Richard Galvin, co-founder at Digital Asset Capital Management. “In an environment that’s still relatively thin in regards to liquidity, we’re seeing some material moves to the upside.”
