Thor Technologies and its founder and former CEO, David Chin, have faced a legal setback in an ongoing dispute with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) over the unapproved sale of $2.6 million in crypto asset securities.

After a series of remarks about the potential benefits of a central bank digital currency (CBDC) for the national economy, the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic said it has accelerated its work on legislation to implement the CBDC workflow in the country.

Crime, meanwhile, is a greater concern for voters than it has been in previous elections, even as crime trends are mixed. Violent crimes, including rape and murder, declined in the United States in 2022 from the previous year, according to a report released by the Federal Bureau of Investigation this week.

Crypto mixers are software tools that allow the owner of the digital currency to mask their identity. The move attempts to block usage of digital currency by organisations deemed to be ‘terrorist groups’ by the US government.

₹2,773 crore net profit for the September quarter as against a net loss in the same quarter last fiscal. The Mumbai-based steel manufacturer reported a 6.71% YoY increase in its consolidated revenue from operations to ₹44,584 crore, it said in an exchange filing. foreign exchange reserves surged by $1.153 billion to $585.895 billion for the week ending October 13, the latest data by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) showed on Friday. Previously, forex reserves decreased by $2.166 billion to $584.742 billion for the week ended October 6. According to the Weekly Statistical Supplement released by the RBI, Foreign currency assets (FCAs) dropped by $178 million to $519.35billion. Expressed in dollar terms, the FCAs include the effect of appreciation or depreciation of non-US units like the euro, pound and yen held in the foreign exchange reserves. Gold reserves surged by $1.27 billion to $43.58 billion, while SDRs were up by $72 million to $18 billion. Reserve position in the IMF decreased by $8 million to $4.98 billion. It can be noted that in October 2021, the country's forex kitty had reached an all-time high of USD 645 billion.
