HP has appointed former Apple executive Ipsita Dasgupta as senior vice president and managing director of HP’s India market.
Dasgupta will be “responsible for leading all aspects of HP’s strategy and P&L in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Ipsita joins HP on October 30, reporting to David McQuarrie, HP's chief commercial officer,” the company said in a statement on Friday.
She would be replacing Gurpreet Singh Brar, who served as interim MD since November last year. Brar will transition to the role of vice president, innovation and growth for HP's India Market.
Prior to this, Dasgupta served as senior director of marketing for Apple Services based at its Cupertino, USA headquarters where she led the global synergy marketing, external partnership marketing, consumer insights, and market and competitive intelligence for Apple's subscription services.
