US lawmaker condemns desecration of BAPS Temple in New York, calls for action against vandals
Tom Suozzi, has condemned the desecration of BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in New York's Melville with messages of hatred and asserted that vandals and criminals, who commit hate crimes should be held accountable. Member of US Congress, representing New York's 3rd Congressional District, Tom Suozzi, raised the issue of desecration of BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Melville in the US House of Representatives. He spoke about the rise in the acts of vandalism, bigotry and hate. He said that Hindus place hands together and greet people with namaste to show respect to them. In his speech at the US House of Representatives, Suozzi said, «I guess we all know that hate has always been a part of human existence, but we see so many hate crimes today. Late Sunday night, vandals defaced the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir on Long Island with vile hate and bigotry against the Hindu community. I've seen Hindus many times and many of you have as well, when they place their hands together, they bow and they say namaste.»

Iranian hackers target Biden campaign with stolen Trump intel, FBI reveals
FBI announced on Wednesday that Iranian hackers have attempted to intervene in the 2024 U.S. presidential election. The hackers sent emails to contacts of President Joe Biden’s campaign, using information allegedly stolen from former President Donald Trump’s campaign. The messages included excerpts from Trump's campaign documents aiming to lure Biden's team. The FBI found no evidence that anyone responded to these emails. Kamala Harris' campaign called the emails “unwelcome and unacceptable malicious activity,” treating them mostly as spam or phishing. Harris's campaign spokesperson, Morgan Finkelstein, stated, “We condemn in the strongest terms any effort by foreign actors to interfere in US elections.” The emails were sent before Trump’s campaign publicly acknowledged the hack on August 10. Iranian hackers reportedly stole and spread confidential Trump campaign documents. News outlets, including Politico, The New York Times, and The Washington Post, received these materials but have not reported the details.

China Market Update: Continent is still upbeat
US Federal Reserve's interest rate decision today, Asian equities were mixed overnight on light volumes and a declining US dollar. For the Mid-Autumn Festival in Hong Kong and Chuseok, or Thanksgiving Day, in South Korea, there were closures. Banks, energy, insurance, and electric car companies led the stronger mainland mega capitalization equities. While BYD finished higher by +1.35%, CATL gained +1.58%. The consumer purchase subsidies gained by home appliance companies Midea, Haier, and Gree were +2.74%, +3.28%, and +3.26%, respectively. Based on above-average volumes, the National Team appeared active in their large and mega-cap equity ETFs, which contributed to the weakness of mid-and small-cap stocks. Hell is empty, devils are all there
Donald Trump was divine intervention, the second within two months seals the deal for supporters that he is god's own candidate. It's now the voters' 'sacred' duty to elect him in November. House of Representatives speaker Mike Johnson set the tone, saying it was 'providence', plain and simple. Cheating death twice is not an accident nor luck, they are saying. Trump lost no time in laying the blame directly at the door of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. He declared the gunman 'believed' and 'acted' on their 'highly inflammatory' rhetoric. Trump was referring to Biden's past remarks calling him a 'threat to democracy' and making him a target. He went on to call B&H the 'enemy from within' that will 'destroy our country'. But rhetoric doesn't come cheap. Trump was quick to send email 'alerts' to fundraise off the new hook. 'I will NEVER SURRENDER!' but remember to show your love with $25. And so it goes, this turbulent election season marred and scarred by violence, hate and worse.

What is a pig butchering scam? An increasing number of Americans are falling victim to this scam; here's all you need to know
Illinois widow lost $1 million of her life savings in a pig butchering scam; learn how to recognize similar schemes. Erika DeMask believed that she had at last found love again, but over several months, she was duped out of her entire life savings in a pig butchering scam. These supposedly pig butchering scams are a particular kind of fraud where the con artist gradually wins over the victim's trust, fattening them up, so to speak, before making the ultimate move and taking all of their money. To establish trust, victims are frequently seduced into virtual relationships, as was the case with DeMask. Her husband had died many years ago, and she had just connected with a lovely man on the internet. The woman from Lombard, Illinois, told ABC 7 Eyewitness News that he said that he loved her and also sent her a massive bouquet, and the FBI said afterwards that they were shocked he did that. However, the flowers were just a small part of a bigger scheme to con DeMask into giving up all of her life savings. Also Read: This new photo shows Sasha Obama as the Queen of Street

‘US politicians target immigrants to deflect public attention — yet, they’ll never do mass deportations’
Q. What is the core of your research? A. I work on administrative and constitutional law — I focus closely on immigration policy and how Latinos, Latinas and other minority groups are treated in America. We’ve heard Donald Trump recently claiming immigrants were ‘eating pets’ in Springfield, Ohio — what are the roots of such discourse? It’s intriguing that we’ve just started hearing these claims which were first made in the Presidential debate held last week. This was Donald Trump’s response to a direct question about his plan for immigration. Trump has promised to conduct mass deportations of undocumented immigrants. The question on that was pointed. The answer was a deflection, with Trump claiming immigrants — he was referring to Haitians — were apparently eating pets.
