The United States National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Department of Commerce are soliciting members for the newly-established Artificial Intelligence (AI) Safety Institute Consortium. 

US national security adviser Jake Sullivan on Monday announced the US efforts to finalise necessary steps to delist Indian nuclear entities, which will promote civil nuclear cooperation and resilient clean energy supply chains between Indian and American companies.

Ajit Doval on Monday held extensive talks with his American counterpart Jake Sullivan primarily focusing on implementation of the ambitious India-US Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (iCET). The two top security officials are also learnt to have deliberated upon pressing global and regional issues of mutual interest. Sullivan, accompanied by a delegation of senior American officials and industry leaders, is on an official visit to New Delhi from June 17 to 18. Following the launch of the iCET by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Joseph Biden on the sidelines of the Quad summit in Tokyo in May 2022, the two NSAs have driven a concerted effort to engage in identified areas of collaboration in diverse domains of new and emerging technologies, including semiconductors, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, defence innovation, space and advanced telecommunications.

Former United States President and Republican party member Donald Trump may be soon charged by US prosecutors as the former president has informed that he has received a letter which says that he is a target of the Justice Department's investigation into efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.  US 2020 elections, which brought democrat Joseph Biden to power as the President of the United States, also brought chaos in the White House, when then incumbent President of US< Donald Trump refused to accept the elections results, and his loyal followers tress-passed and vanadalised the mansion on capitol hill.  New federal charges, on top of existing state and federal counts in New York and Florida and a separate election-interference investigation nearing conclusion in Georgia, would add to the list of legal problems for Trump as he pursues the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. Trump disclosed the existence of a target letter in a post on his Truth Social platform, saying he received it Sunday night and that he anticipates being indicted.
