Congress leader on Wednesday said that party leader Rahul Gandhi will contest the Lok Sabha election from Amethi — a constituency he has represented several times since 2002. Congress District President Pradeep Singhal, who returned after a meeting in Delhi, said Gandhi will be the party candidate from Amethi and his name would be announced soon. There is, however, no word from the party's central leadership on the matter. The party's Central Election Committee meeting is yet to take place. Gandhi, a former Congress president, represented Amethi in Parliament from 2002 till 2019.

You go and tell (that) we are enemies of Ram».

RJD on Saturday hailed the disqualification of six Congress MLAs in Himachal Pradesh who had recently crossed over to the BJP and expressed hope that similar action will be taken against turncoats in Bihar. We urge the Speaker here to take note and take appropriate action. If he does not, we will take legal recourse,» Jha said.

It has always been understood that this does not preclude group partners from contesting against each other in different states especially Kerala.» «The Congress and the Left are allies in different states but in Kerala we have always and will continue to oppose each other electorally,» he asserted.
