Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.01 patch notes released for Xbox Series X and S, PC, PlayStation 5. Details here
Patch 2.01 is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S. Among the improvements, players can now switch to arm cyberware while cycling through weapons, obsolete mods will no longer appear in their inventory, and the haunted Night City Police Department car that was previously roaming the streets has been removed. Cyberpunk 2077 had a tumultuous release in 2020 due to bugs and player dissatisfaction, but CD Projekt Red (CDPR), the game's developer, was determined to make amends. With the release of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and the subsequent 2.0 update, many issues were addressed, revitalizing the player base and the game's reputation, reflecting the developer's commitment. New players who joined the game for its improved gameplay and visuals have hailed it as one of the best action RPGs in recent memory. After a month of availability for update 2.0 and the Phantom Liberty expansion, CDPR has released the first hotfix, addressing various issues in both the base game and the DLC. Here are the patch notes for update 2.01. Phantom Liberty was launched on September 26, with Update 2.0 laying the groundwork a few days earlier. This update brought significant changes to Cyberpunk 2077, including a new perk system, improved AI, and resolution of an Elon Musk fan theory, a tribute to the late racing legend Ken Block, and intriguing additions to the game's largest mystery.

SC reserves verdict on reconsideration of 1998 judgement granting immunity to lawmakers from prosecution
Supreme Court on Thursday reserved its verdict on reconsideration of its 1998 judgement which had held that MPs and MLAs enjoy immunity from prosecution for taking bribe to make a speech or vote in legislature. The constitution bench headed by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud reserved the verdict after hearing a battery of senior lawyers including Attorney General R Venkataramani and Solicitor General Tushar Mehta. The larger bench is reconsidering the 1998 verdict delivered in the JMM bribery case by a five-judge bench by which the MPs and MLAs were granted immunity from prosecution for taking bribe to make a speech or vote in legislature.

Mint Primer: How inflation dynamics have changed since last MPC meet
The Reserve Bank of India's monetary policy committee (MPC) is set to deliver its decision on policy repo rate on Friday, with the market broadly expecting a status quo despite the recent surge in inflation amid the hardening of bond yields. The rate pause, nevertheless, would be a complex challenge for the MPC this time. Mint explains why: The MPC is expected to keep the repo rate unchanged at 6.50% for the fourth consecutive time in October as core inflation, which excludes food and fuel and light groups, has been below the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI’s) upper tolerance limit of 6% for six consecutive months, offering some respite from high food prices.
