Election Commission of India has warned CPI candidate in Thrissur Lok Sabha constituency, V S Sunil Kumar against using a photograph of his with leading Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas for the poll campaign. The EC warning came days after Kumar had triggered a row by posting his picture with actor Thomas, who is an ambassador for the Election Commission's Systematic Voter's Education and Electoral Participation programme (SVEEP), on social media. The actor had himself posted on social media, saying he was an ambassador for SVEEP and that it was against law to use his photograph for election campaign. Orion India, the India arm of South Korea’s confectionery maker Orion Holdings, is doubling down on its local portfolio of snacking products which include Choco Pie dessert snack and Turtle chips, the company’s managing director Saurabh Saith said. The company, which entered India five years back, is expanding capacity at its existing manufacturing plant in Rajasthan, and adding new snacking products to respond to demand surge, Saith said. Karthiyayini, a former prominent member of AIADMK who had shifted to BJP in 2017. Karthiyayini will be contesting in Lok Sabha elections from Chidambaram (SC) constituency in Tamil Nadu. Actor and politician Raadhika Sarathkumar will fight from Virudhnagar constituency of Tamil Nadu. Raadhika Sarathkumar is the wife of actor R Sarath Kumar, who had on March 12 merged his Akila Indiya Samathuva Makkal Katchi (AISMK) with the BJP.
