Mint Explainer: Why telcos seek fair share on top of bundled OTT plans
NEW DELHI : Bundled tariff plans that include access to content-streaming apps are in vogue. They generate additional revenue for the telecom operators as users tend to upgrade to higher-paying plans for more data. And for consumers, they mean sheer convenience—they get only one bill for mobile services, internet and all over-the-top (OTT) app subscriptions.

Piyush Goyal to visit Switzerland to take forward EFTA commitments
Goyal Wednesday said the four-member European nation bloc European Free Trade Association (EFTA) is keen to invest in India and the domestic industry should take advantage of that opportunity. Goyal, who is visiting Switzerland on Sunday to take forward the EFTA commitments, said that this $100 billion commitment is for foreign direct investments and not portfolio investments. Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland comprise the EFTA. In March, India and EFTA signed a free trade agreement under which New Delhi received an investment commitment of $100 billion in 15 years from the grouping while allowing several products such as Swiss watches, chocolates and cut and polished diamonds at lower or zero duties.

Maharashtra government to include dental treatments in state health scheme
Minister Tanaji Sawant on Monday said dental treatment will now be covered under the Pradhan Mantra Jan Aarogya and Mahatma Phule Jan Aarogya schemes. The state public health minister made the announcement while responding to a question from legislator Satyajeet Tambe in the state legislative council. This expansion broadens the coverage of the two schemes that provide a wide range of medical treatments free of cost at government-recognised hospitals. «Currently, 1,000 private and state-run hospitals are recognised under the schemes. With the latest decision, 900 more hospitals will be included. The expansion is expected to be completed by July 31,» Sawant said.

What is the difference between deductible, co-payment in a health insurance policy
health insurance, both deductible and co-payment refer to the share of money you pay from your pocket before the policy comes into effect, but these differ in terms of execution. Both make for financially useful tools as these help reduce the premium, but remember that it is beneficial only as long as you don’t make a claim since you end up increasing your out-of-pocket expenses while paying the bill.
