Insurance behemoth Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) is considering the establishment of a fintech unit. LIC has launched a comprehensive digital transformation project named DIVE (Digital Innovation and Value Enhancement) and has enlisted a consultant to lead the initiative, LIC Chairman Siddhartha Mohanty said in an interview with PTI. "Our objective is to get best in class digital initiatives for all our stakeholders, customers, intermediaries, marketing people and everybody through the project DIVE," he said.

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday said they have arrested three terrorist associates linked with the proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba and recovered arms, ammunition and other incriminating materials from their possession in Baramulla district. On November 25, during joint Naka checking and patrolling with 13 SIKHLI, 185 BN BSF and Baramulla Police at Kalgai near Jhula Foot Bridge, they intercepted two suspected persons coming from Kamalkote towards NHW carrying bags who were identified as Zameer Ahmad Khanday, son of Azeem Khanday resident of Madiyan Kamalkote and Mohammad Naseem Khanday, son of Abdul Majeed Khanday resident of Madiyan Kamalkote, said official. During the search, three Chinese grenades and cash worth Rs 2.5 lakh were recovered from them. To this effect, a FIR under relevant sections of the law was registered at Police Station Uri. During sustained questioning, both the accused disclosed that these illegally acquired grenades and cash had been provided to them by one Manzoor Ahmad Bhatti, the son of Karam Din Bhatti, a resident of Madiyan Kamalkote, so that they could execute any terrorist act. Accordingly, Manzoor Ahmad Bhatti was picked up for questioning.

In response, College GameDay host Rece Davis defended Thamel, explaining that he had received threats from the «lunatic fringe,» and the decision to have him inside the stadium was made to ensure his safety. Despite the security concerns, Howard maintained his stance, emphasizing that Thamel should have continued reporting from the crowd, citing the presence of security and the generally friendly nature of fans.

₹378 crore worth of Indian equities and the total inflow stands at ₹13,673 crore as of November 24, taking into account debt, hybrid, debt-VRR, and equities, according to National Securities Depository Ltd (NSDL) data. Superintendent of Police (SP) in Punjab has been suspended over allegations of dereliction of duty related to a security breach during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the state in January of the previous year. Gurbinder Singh, who held the position of SP (Operations) in Ferozepur at the time, has been suspended with immediate effect, according to an order issued by the Punjab Home Department on Wednesday. On January 5, 2022, protesters blocked the route, causing Prime Minister Modi's convoy to be stranded on a flyover in Ferozepur.

Nuclear-armed North Korea launched the satellite on Tuesday, but South Korean defence officials and analysts said its capabilities have not been independently verified. Kim examined photos of Seoul and other cities of Mokpo, Kunsan, Pyeongtaek and Osan, where U.S. and South Korean military bases are located. The photos were taken as the satellite passed over the peninsula on Friday morning, state news agency KCNA said.

Capital markets regulator Sebi on Friday came out with a proposal to provide flexibility in adopting trading plans by persons, who are perpetually in possession of unpublished price sensitive information. Under the rule, 'Trading Plans' (TP) enable persons like senior management or Key Managerial Personnel (KMP), who are perpetually in possession of Unpublished Price Sensitive Information (UPSI), to trade in securities in a compliant manner. «Since the introduction of trading plans in 2015, data and market feedback suggest that the current regulatory requirements in respect of trading plans are onerous and consequently, trading plans are not very popular,» Sebi said in its consultation paper.
