Individuals are preferring to buy single premium life insurance policies because of higher interest rates, convenience and flexibility the plans offer. The share of single premium to total premium has grown to 70% in May this year as compared to 55% in December last year. For private insurers, the share rose to 53% from 43%, and for Life Insurance Corporation, it grew to 82% from 70% during the same period.

IDBI Bank stock provides a turnaround opportunity to investors, with a potential upside of up to 25% in one year or so, said HDFC Securities in a research note. The brokerage report recommended the investors to buy the shares of IDBI Bank between Rs. 54.8 – 55.9 (1.15x FY25E ABV). India's manufacturing industry expanded at the second-fastest rate this year in June, albeit at a slightly slower pace than in May, supported by robust demand despite higher inflationary pressures, data showed Monday. The S&P Global Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index fell to 57.8 in June from May's 58.7. That marked two years of the index being above the 50-mark separating expansion from contraction.

Tresa Motors Monday unveiled its first electric commercial vehicle, the Model V0.1. Manufacturing across most of Asia deteriorated further in June as a weak Chinese economy sapped demand for the region’s goods.
