In a statement, it said ICG and Hindalco Industries inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) here on Thursday. The MoU is for the manufacturing and supply of indigenous marine-grade aluminium to Indian public and private shipyards for the construction of ships. «It will also provide benefits such as quarterly pricing, priority in supplies and turnover discount,» the statement added.

The weapons aid will utilize Presidential Drawdown Authority, or PDA, which authorizes the president to transfer articles and services from U.S. stocks without specific congressional approval during an emergency. As a part of the $95 billion aid bills, Congress authorized $60.8 billion worth of various forms of aid to Ukraine, including $8 billion worth of PDA items.

We remain committed to our core businesses, which include the refining, marketing of petroleum products and upstream. In addition, we are focusing on our big bets, which comprise petrochemicals, gas, green energy, non-fuel retail, and digital,» Krishnakumar said. This will not just help meet the rising fuel demand of the world's fastest growing economy but also help the firm meet its target of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2040.
