An Israeli strike on a school kills at least 22 people, Gaza Health Ministry says
Israeli strike on a school in northern Gaza on Saturday killed at least 22 people, according to the Gaza Health Ministry, while the Israeli army said it targeted a Hamas command center in what used to be a school. Another 30 were wounded in the strike on the school in the Zeitoun area of Gaza City, the ministry said in a statement. Most of the casualties were women and children, it said. It wasn't immediately clear which hospital the dead and injured were taken to. Video taken by The Associated Press showed dozens of people including children digging through the rubble of the building — its ceilings caved in, walls knocked out and a mess of wires and metal rods visible. Outside, others gathered around shrouded bodies. Some covered their faces as they wept for relatives killed in the strike.

Amit Shah flags off BJP Parivartan Yatra in Jharkhand
Amit Shah on Friday flagged off BJP's Parivartan Yatra in Jharkhand ahead of the assembly elections. The party will launch six yatras from six regions of the state which will culminate on October 2 in Ranchi, when the party will organise a rally. These yatras will cover all the 81 assembly segments in 24 districts. Several national and state level leaders will participate in the different phases of the yatra. Speaking at a public meeting in Sahibganj, Shah attacked the Hemant Soren government over corruption and appealed to the people of Jharkhand to vote for the BJP. «The change is not just about bringing the BJP government in place of JMM and Congress. The change is to remove this corrupt government and bring a government that will stop corruption.» Shah emphasised that the state needs a BJP government which can work for the welfare of farmers and generate employment in the state so that tribal people are not forced to go outside to get a job.

Infiltrators vote bank of RJD, Congress, JMM in Jharkhand: Amit Shah
Amit Shah on Friday criticised the JMM-led government in Jharkhand for «vote bank» politics and vowed if the BJP comes to power, it would chase «each» illegal immigrant out of the state. He promised Rs 10 lakh free health cover to poor people aged 75 and above in the state. Shah claimed that the ruling JMM was «patronising infiltration» for «vote bank» and the tribal population in Santhal Pargana reduced to 28 per cent from 44 per cent earlier. «Infiltrators are vote banks of RJD, Congress and JMM. I promise to drive out illegal immigrants. The time has come to show the corrupt JMM-dispensation exit door...We want to change Jharkhand,» Shah said at a rally after flagging off BJP's 'Parivartan Yatra' from Police Line Ground in Sahibganj.
