Pakistan says seizure of commercial goods by India 'unjustified'
Pakistan on Sunday protested India's «unjustified seizure» of commercial goods destined for Karachi, saying the consignment was a «simple case» of import of a commercial lathe machine by a commercial entity which supplies parts to the automobile industry in this country. The comments by the Foreign Office came after security agencies at Mumbai's Nhava Sheva port intercepted and seized the consignment of a Karachi-bound ship from China after it was found carrying a dual-use consignment with implications for Pakistan's nuclear and ballistic missile programmes. Customs officials, acting on intelligence, halted the Malta-flagged merchant ship — CMA CGM Attila — en route to Karachi on January 23 and, during its inspection, found that the consignment had a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine, manufactured by an Italian company, known for its precision and efficiency controlled by a computer system.

Nifty 50 vs GDP of India: Why experts see more rally in Indian stock market — explained with 5 crucial reasons
Nifty 50 vs GDP of India: The key benchmark indices of the Indian stock market surged to a new high after India's Q3 GDP growth saw an impressive growth rate of 8.4% driven by robust manufacturing, highlighting the inherent strength and potential of our economy. However, the domestic equities got some support from the US Fed rate cut buzz as well after the easing of US inflation data that triggered profit booking in the currency market and the US dollar index came below the 104 level. According to stock market experts, Nifty 50 or Sensex or any other index of the Indian stock market grows two to two and a half times the GDP growth registered by the national economy.

The increasing interest in Moscow as a tourist destination has lent additional impetus to developing more attractive infrastructure offerings for tourists. As of today, Moscow offers a wide range of services and various events that may be of interest to visitors from India – from purely business activities to cultural events. “Before the pandemic, tourist traffic from India was growing at 12-15 percent annually. Now we are on the way to recovery — all the necessary conditions have been created for this. Thus, Moscow was visited by 24.5 million tourists in 2023, of which 2.3 million were international tourists. In comparison, in 2019 the figure was 25.1 million tourists, with over 600,000 in the summer alone,” Nurmukhanov told ET.
