The Delhi Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation (DTIDC) has floated a tender and invited bidders to suggest digital solutions to check whether the vehicles coming to the petrol pumps have a valid Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC). The estimated cost of the project is Rs 6 crore. «The bidder must possess the capability to deliver a digital solution aimed at mitigating pollution within the city of Delhi. This involves implementing an application that integrates with existing cameras situated at petrol pumps,» said an official. Explaining how the system will work, the official said it will be designed to scan the licence plates of the vehicles upon entry to a petrol pump.

JSW Group and Chinese car manufacturer SAIC Motor-owned MG Motor India today unveiled the Cyberster, an all-electric convertible roadster, in India. This vehicle, touted as the world’s first fully-electric super gaming car, is powered by dual motor. The company said that the Cyberster can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. Commenting on the launch, Sajjan Jindal, Chairman of JSW Group said that they want to launch one electric vehicle every 3-4 months. «The idea is to create a Maruti moment,» Jindal said. MG Motor, a British brand owned by SAIC Motor, entered into a joint venture with the JSW Group. Jindal’s JSW Group hold 35 per cent of the company’s India operations. MUMBAI: Sterling and Wilson, an engineering, procurement and construction company of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, will raise ₹700 crore from a group of strategic investors through a stake sale in its data centre business, senior company officials said. «The modalities of stake sale are still under discussion, but the strategic investors (more than one) have agreed to bring in ₹700 crore into Sterling and Wilson,» Prasanna Sarambale, CEO of data centre business at Sterling and Wilson (SWPL), told ET. For this purpose, the company will hive off the data centre business — created in 2015 — as a separate entity, he said. The company will use the proceeds from stake sale to pare overall group debt as well as towards growth capital, Sarambale said.
