Koo to either raise funds or partner with another player to build scale, says co-founder
Koo co-founder Mayank Bidawatka on Friday said that the next phase for the startup is to build scale, either with funding, or through a strategic partnership with a player that has already achieved it. “With the current reality of a slow investor market, the best way forward is to partner with someone who has the distribution strength to give Koo a massive user impetus and help it grow. With a platform that's scale ready, Koo can outshine competitors with the right push on growth,” he said in a LinkedIn post.

UCO Bank target is to grow operating profit by 15% this financial year: MD
Ashwani Kumar, MD & CEO, UCO Bank, says “our target is to grow operating profit by 15% during this financial year and on a year-on-year basis and profit after tax is a play of provisions and going forward looking at the PCR, we are having around 94-95% PCR and our net NPA is already 1.19% and the provisioning requirements on a quarter-on-quarter basis, on year-on-year basis will come down. Our gross NPA is also coming down. It has come down to 4.48% this quarter and we will continue to see the declining trend in the remaining quarters as well and with all this in place, the ROA will improve in the coming quarters.”There is a section of the market which believes that the last few quarters of credit growth have been very strong. From here on, on the one hand, yes, there is festive season where credit generally perks up but the trend would be smoothening out. Is that a trend you see developing or do you see good growth on the credit side for next four to six quarters from current levels as well?First of all, I will give you a brief data point.

Apple to update iPhone 12 software in France to settle radiation row
Apple said on Friday it would issue a software update for iPhone 12 users in France to potentially end a row with French regulators that ordered the suspension of the phone's sale due to breaches of radiation exposure limits. «We will issue a software update for users in France to accommodate the protocol used by French regulators. We look forward to iPhone 12 continuing to be available in France,» Apple said in a statement. «This is related to a specific testing protocol used by French regulators and not a safety concern,» it said. The French government welcomed the move. «The ANFR (French regulator) is preparing to quickly test this update,» French Digital Affairs Minister Jean Noel Barrot's ministry said in a statement, adding this should bring the model into compliance with European standards and allow France to lift the sale suspension. Apple has contested the French radiation findings, saying the iPhone 12 — now a relatively old model launched in 2020 — was certified by multiple international bodies as compliant with global standards. Belgium said on Thursday it would review potential health risks linked to Apple's iPhone 12 in the wake of France's sale suspension, while others, like Germany, said they would wait to see how the situation in French developed. Apple's revenues totalled about $95 billion in Europe last year, making the region its second biggest behind the Americas.
