Wipro said on Friday that the company has signed a definitive agreement to subscribe for the equity share capital in FPEL Ujwal Private Limited for a value of Rs 6.3 lakh. The transaction is expected to be completed before May 31, 2024. The stake acquisition will enhance the proportion of usage of renewable energy for Wipro offices in Karnataka, said the company in a note to exchanges.

Infosys said on Friday that it has completed the acquisition of Danske Bank’s IT centre in India. In June, Infosys said that it bagged a digital transformation deal with Nordic-based Danske Bank valued at $454 million for a period of five years. The Bengaluru-based software exporter acquired the lender’s IT centre in Bengaluru which employs 1,400 people, as part of the deal. The company will use Infosys Topaz, an AI-first set of services, solutions and platforms, experience design and services that support operations, said the company.

The Foreign Trade Policy 2023 has mandated to handhold and conduct outreach programmes to promote ecommerce exports.
