US Fed has already made a blunder, claims noted American economist
Larry Summers concerns regarding the decision of the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates by a half percentage point are an error. Larry Summers demonstrates that, as per robust labor market data, the U.S. economy remains strong by making the potential rate cut unnecessary.

Diversity and tolerance are crucial drivers of innovation and growth for business and economy
innovation is not limited to cutting-edge tech. Diversity and tolerance for all things new is a crucial asset to fuel innovation and economic growth, not just for individual enterprises but also for societies and economies. In the 1980s, the infamous death spiral of America's chip industry was reversed by Jack Simplot, a potato farmer with no college education but with a terrific acumen for business. Silicon Valley's real 'magic' is not in the grand convergence of brilliant engineers, but in its adventurous culture, tolerance and openness to new ideas. Today, as businesses grapple with complex challenges to stay relevant, DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) has progressed from being a jargon to an essential principle that organisations strive to embrace. India needs to understand how to extend the value of its diversity beyond representation and harness it as an engine for inclusive and innovative economic growth. So, why is diversity a key focal point?

World's confidence in India stays high amid geopolitical tensions, says PM Modi
Kautilya Economic Conclave asserted that world's confidence in India remained high despite uncertainties. Additionally, the PM said the government will continue with structural reforms to achieve the ambitious Viksit Bharat 2047 dream. «This conclave is being organised at a time when there is a war situation in two big regions of the world. Both these regions are very important for the global economy, especially energy security. Amid this big global uncertainty, we are here discussing 'The Indian Era', it shows that today the trust in India is of different level,» said PM Modi during his address. «The global leaders and financial experts are optimistic about India’s growth. The investors believe that it’s the right time to invest in India. It’s not a coincidence, rather, it’s result of the reforms that have happened in India in the past decade,» said the PM.

EU presses ahead with Chinese EV tariffs after divided vote
electric vehicles, the EU executive said on Friday, even after the bloc's largest economy Germany rejected them, exposing a rift over its biggest trade row with Beijing in a decade. The proposed duties on Chinese-built EVs of up to 45% would cost carmakers billions of extra dollars to bring cars into the bloc and are set to be imposed from next month for five years. The Commission, which oversees the bloc's trade policy, has said they would counter what it sees as unfair Chinese subsidies after a year-long anti-subsidy investigation, but it also said on Friday it would continue talks with Beijing.

Should you start buying the dips? Consider Reliance, L&T & bank stocks on further fall: Sandip Sabharwal
Sandip Sabharwal, asksandipsabharwal.com, says the first level of buying could be looked at on the largecap side. If Reliance falls 5-7% from current levels, it could be a decent stock to buy for a 15-20% upside over a year's time. If markets correct, typically banks have a higher beta. If they correct more than 10% from current levels, they can be considered. If L&T it falls near Rs 3,200-3,300, then we could have a look at it among the largecaps. These could be the opportunities. Markets were due for a fall. The selling has come. Could this accelerate further? Is it time to put money to work now? Sandip Sabharwal: It is too early to put money to work because of the fact that, one, there could be global factors at play and globally markets could correct and that could lead to some sort of fall coming in India also. Secondly, if you look at economic data which has been coming out starting right from the core industrial data, information where core output was actually down last month and some impact was there of heavy rains, etc, which was down.
