The lending unit of crypto firm Genesis filed for bankruptcy in January after the collapse of key counterparties including FTX caused it to freeze customer redemptions in November. Genesis is owned by venture capital firm Digital Currency Group (DCG). Although Genesis' lending unit had initially outlined a plan to exit bankruptcy by May, it has yet to reach an agreement on a restructuring plan with creditors, to whom it owes more than $3 billion, according to court filings. Its largest creditor is Gemini, founded by billionaire identical twins Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss who are also former U.S. Olympic rowers. Gemini is seeking to recoup more than $1.1 billion.

HDFC Bank last week, has sold a portfolio comprising eight real estate accounts, including prominent names like Tridhaatu Realty, ATS Infra, Paranjape Schemes and Puranik Builders for a total value of ₹305 crore to Assets Care and Reconstruction Enterprise (ACRE) ARC. The combined outstanding loan amount of this pool was approximately ₹1,300 crore, translating into an immediate recovery of around 23%. ACRE ARC, backed by Ares SSG, emerged as the anchor bidder, offering ₹305 crore in upfront cash for the purchase.

₹167 crore for the distribution of bicycles among 3.78 lakh students of Class 9, studying in government and provincialised schools, news agency PTI reported quoting Tourism Minister Jayanta Malla Barua. The deal comprises a primary issuance of Rs400 crore and provides a part exit to early investors, British International Investment (BII) and Lok Capital.

We strongly believe these partnerships will further catalyse our mission to serve the underserved," said D. Arulmany, MD & CEO of Veritas.
