Twitch has announced that it has started testing its Discovery feed, which the company introduced last month. «Our first Discovery Feed experiment starts rolling out to select users today,» the company posted on X. «Feature Clips after every stream to get discovered in the Feed, even if you're not in the experiment.» The company also mentioned that this limited experience will help the platform train its algorithm and get users' feedback. In a separate post, the streaming platform said, «We're rolling out horizontal Clips to start, but you'll see more vertical Clips as the feed evolves.» The company is also testing «Popular & Featured Clips» before switching to exclusively Featured Clips. Also, the user's feed will be personalised «over time.» Twitch had first introduced the Discovery feed at its TwitchCon Paris event last month and described it as a scrollable feed in the app that would show users a personalised mix of Clips. The platform had also said that users would be able to mark Clips as featured in their Creator Dashboard this month. In June, the streaming platform had introduced a new programme — Partner Plus — which is scheduled to be launched on October 1 and will offer 70 per cent share on net subscription revenue to streamers who meet the qualification criteria. Streamers in the new programme will receive a 70/30 revenue share on net subscription revenue — money from recurring monthly subscriptions and gift subscriptions --, for 12 months and up to $1,00,000. For three consecutive months, streamers must maintain a sub count of at least 350 recurring paid subscriptions in order to be eligible.

Typically an inclusion or exclusion of a stock from MSCI/FTSE indices results in inflows or outflows as passive funds adjust their portfolio to the changes. However, the stock’s presence in global indices is unlikely to result in any inflows or outflows, according to experts. “Unlike in India, where there are a set of criterias to be part of Nifty/Sensex, the breadth of global indices is wider. Therefore, Jio Financial will be in FTSE and MSCI indices,” says Abhilash Pagaria of Nuvama Institutional Equities. As funds owning RIL stock already have Jio Financial shares, there will be no fresh adjustments in their portfolio.

Last year, a former employee of the company, Shawn Katz filed a lawsuit against the IT giant in the United States alleging for racial discrimination against non-South Asian and non-Indian applicants and employees. Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star, is set to debut its fifth season on Netflix in September 2023, following its earlier airing on the BBC. The show aims to discover skilled makeup artists. Since 2019, Netflix has been the exclusive global streaming platform for Glow Up, except in the United Kingdom. Each year, new seasons become available on Netflix a few months after they air on BBC Three in the UK. This pattern continues in 2023 with season 5.Glow Up Season 5 will officially land on Netflix on September 12, 2023. The season comprises eight episodes, which were broadcasted from May 2 to June 21. Leomie Anderson takes over as the host from Maya Jama, while Val Garland and Dominic Skinner continue as judges. Notably, the new season features a special Netflix crossover in its first episode. Contestants are tasked with creating makeup looks inspired by characters from the period drama series, Bridgerton. The release schedule for Glow Up Season 5 on Netflix UK remains uncertain. In January 2023, Season 4 briefly appeared on Netflix UK before being removed at the end of the month. The future availability of Season 5 on Netflix UK is yet to be determined, and until then, the newer seasons can be exclusively accessed via BBC iPlayer.

Ryan Phillippe series, Shooter, which aired for three seasons, will soon depart Netflix globally. Initially gone from the US in June 2023, other regions will lose access in mid-September 2023. Adapted from a movie with Mark Wahlberg, the show centered on Bob Lee Swagger, a retired marine drawn into a government conspiracy. The cast included Ryan Phillippe, Shantel VanSanten, Omar Epps, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Eddie McClintock, and Josh Stewart. After three seasons, USA Network chose not to renew the show, and attempts to find it a new home were fruitless. Netflix obtained global rights through a licensing deal with USA Network for the US, while international rights (excluding Canada) were acquired for exclusive streaming shortly after airing. In the US, Shooter Seasons 1-3 had been released in June or May each year, with the final season arriving on June 21, 2019. Now, four years later, Netflix is set to lose rights on June 21, 2023, as indicated by a removal notice on the show's page. Internationally, Netflix in some regions will retain the show longer, like in the UK where access is expected until September 14, 2023. This five-year span aligns with the addition of the season 3 finale on June 22, 2018. Everywhere else, Shooter's last watchable day is September 13, followed by complete removal on September 14.

Activision Blizzard proposes to sell its streaming rights to Ubisoft Entertainment in a fresh attempt to win approval from UK Competition and Markets Authority for its $69 billion sale to Microsoft. The shares of Activision were trading 1.1% higher, while Microsoft was up 0.7% before noon in New York. Shares of Ubisoft listed in Paris closed 8.8% higher.

Devbhumi Dwarka police have dismantled a factory located in Punjab that was producing alcoholic ayurvedic syrup exclusively intended for the Gujarat market. As per a TOI report, the factory had already shipped approximately two lakh bottles of this syrup to Gujarat in last one year. During the police operation, a substantial amount of raw material, sufficient to produce an additional two lakh bottles of the syrup, was seized from the factory.
