Sunil Gavaskar brushed off speculations regarding Indian legend MS Dhoni's retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL), and said every time people raise this question, the former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain proves them wrong. Lauding Dhoni, he said age is just a number for him, and he still has the ability to hit the ball into the stands «Why should we even ask that question? Why put pressure on him? Every time people question MS Dhoni, he proves them wrong. Don't doubt his ability. Even at this age, he's hitting sixes not just past the boundary but into the stands during practice. Age is just a number when it comes to Dhoni,» Gavaskar, who is a Jio Star expert said on Jio Hotstar. The former India captain also spoke about the attacking mindset displayed by batters in the IPL he said they understand how to catch the powerplay when only two fielders are allowed outside the 30-yard circle. He also talked about batters' mindstep of scoring 10-12 runs per over which gives their team a strong platform for 180-200 runs. «Batters are getting more adventurous and aggressive. They understand that the powerplay--where only two fielders are outside the inner circle--must be capitalized on. You have to aim for 10-12 runs per over and reach around 60-75 runs in the first six overs, even if you lose just one wicket. That creates a strong platform to push towards 180-200 runs.» he added.

delimitation of parliamentary seats, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Saturday convened the first Joint Action Committee (JAC) meeting of several states to rally support for opposing the plan. The meeting, held in Chennai, marked the beginning of a coordinated effort to safeguard India’s federal structure, which, according to Stalin, is under threat. Describing the gathering as a «historic day» for India's federal system, Stalin emphasized that the struggle would likely extend to the legal realm. He stated, «Today will be etched in history as the day when states that have contributed to our nation's development came together to safeguard its federal structure by ensuring #FairDelimitation.» The event saw a notable presence of political leaders and chief ministers from Kerala, Telangana, Punjab, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh, all of whom voiced concerns about the Centre’s proposal. Stalin introduced the meeting with a call for unity, urging the states to fight for a «fair» and equitable delimitation process that wouldn’t undermine their representation. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy echoed these sentiments, arguing that if the proposed delimitation, which is based on population numbers, were implemented, it would marginalize southern states. «If this happens, the north will make us secondary citizens,» Reddy said.

Citi Experts Universities travelers evacuation Interviews International Heathrow Airport blackout exposes weak spot in its power supplies
London Heathrow’s unprecedented blackout on Friday has put the airport’s reliance on potentially vulnerable infrastructure into focus, at a time when the biggest UK hub is lobbying for an ambitious expansion plan. A fire late Thursday at a nearby electrical substation cut off the power supply to Heathrow, bringing flights to a standstill for almost all of Friday. While backup systems kicked in, they only allow the hub to land some aircraft and evacuate passengers, but not to support full operations. Only by late on Friday did a few flights resume, mainly to repatriate dislocated passengers. Smoke from a fire at North Hyde Electricity Substation near London Heathrow Airport in London on March 21. The public blowback to the outage was swift, with Willie Walsh, the former chief executive officer of British Airways parent IAG SA and now IATA director, saying it’s “yet another case of Heathrow letting down both travelers and airlines.” Walsh said it’s a “clear planning failure by the airport” if critical national infrastructure relies on one energy source without an alternative.

COST Strategy Experts country social travelers Goodbye US, Hello India. Tired of high costs in America, his family now enjoys Goa’s luxury for just Rs 1 lakh a month
Taking to LinkedIn, Elliot Rosenberg shared how a daring move he made 12 years ago changed his life for the better. He explained that while most personal finance experts emphasize strategies such as budgeting expenses, making long-term investments, and establishing multiple income streams to achieve financial independence and early retirement, he recognized a significant challenge: the high cost of living in America. Although inflation played a role in rising expenses, he believed that the real issue lay in “lifestyle creep.” In many social circles, there seemed to be an unspoken expectation to maintain a costly social life—frequenting upscale restaurants, purchasing event tickets, indulging in shopping sprees, or joining expensive recreational clubs. The pressure to sustain these expenditures often dictated friendships and social acceptance.
