The government (Mahayuti government) has been formed but no portfolio has been allocated till now. there are a lot of law and order issues..who is accountable… despite having so much majority why is so much delay.» The Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024 witnessed a decisive victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Mahayuti alliance, securing a landslide win with 235 seats. The results marked a significant milestone for the BJP, which emerged as the single-largest party with 132 seats.

On December 5, ED sought the LG's nod to prosecute Kejriwal after it allegedly found a «huge level of corruption in framing and implementation» of the excise policy. This was mentioned in prosecution complaint no. 7 filed in the Rouse Avenue court on May 17 this year. The court took cognisance of the complaint on July 9. ED's prosecution complaint alleged that Kejriwal conspired with member of the «South Group» to receive Rs 100 crore and passed on undue benefits to private entities by formulating and implementing a “tailor-made” liquor policy.

The Reserve Bank of India’s innovation arm is also exploring collaboration with the likes of Google Pay on the insights that can be derived from data sharing on UPI transactions and warehouse deposit receipt data, Bansal said. Discussions are also ongoing with the Open Network on Digital Commerce (ONDC), PM Gati Shakti, Unified Geospatial Interface and E-Vahan, he added. The ULI platform will enable consent-based transfer of customers’ digitised financial and non-financial data, including land records, from various sources to lenders, accelerating credit appraisals.

Accel India, an early-stage backer of Flipkart and Swiggy, has closed its eighth fund, securing $650 million in investor commitments, people briefed on the matter said. At the same time, Accel’s global growth fund based in the US has also closed its latest fund with a $1.35 billion corpus, the people said, citing US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings. A portion of the funds raised will be allocated to Indian startups in their pre-IPO rounds, the people added. Once formally closed, Accel’s latest fund will boost its total commitments in India to nearly $3 billion. It signals a likely more active strategy by Accel to deploy capital through the India and the US growth funds across various lifecycle stages of startups.
