LIC trims stake in Engineers India by 2%, now holds 3%
Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has trimmed its stake in Engineers India, a leading global engineering consultancy and EPC company, by about 2% through open market. The insurance behemoth disclosed in a regulatory filing on November 23 that it sold 1.14 crore shares of Engineers India during the period from February 02, 2021, to November 22, 2023, at an average price of ₹118.08 apiece. As a result of this transaction, LIC's overall stake in Engineers India has come down to 3.122% from the previous 5.155%.

Maruti board approves Rs 12,800 crore preferential issue to Suzuki Motor Corp
Maruti Suzuki on Friday said its board has approved the allotment of 1,23,22,514 equity shares of the company to Suzuki Motor Corporation on a preferential basis as consideration for the acquisition of a 100% stake of SMC in Suzuki Motor Gujarat (SMG). The decision to allot shares at a price of Rs 10,420.85 per equity share for a total consideration of Rs 12,841.1 crore was taken at a board meeting this morning. Maruti shares were trading 0.3% higher at Rs 10,525 on BSE in the opening session. Following the preferential allotment, Suzuki Motor Corporation Japan's stake in Maruti Suzuki India will increase from 56.48% to 58.19%. Back in August, Maruti Suzuki said it would acquire parent Suzuki Motor's manufacturing facility in Gujarat to ensure better management control over the unit.

Gold Rate Today: Yellow metal set for second weekly gains. Should you buy?
Taking cues from the international prices, MCX December gold futures opened in the green and were trading at Rs 61105 per 10 gram, up by Rs 33 or 0.05% from the Thursday closing price. Meanwhile, the December Silver futures were trading at Rs 72,934 per kg, higher by Rs 36 or 0.05%. On Comex, Gold futures were trading at $1,993.60 per troy ounce on Friday, up by $0.80 or 0.04% while Silver futures were trading at $23.720, higher by 0.032 or 0.14%. The dollar index was trading at 103.83 against a basket of top six currencies, down by $0.09 or 0.09% though the bias was negative. The December Gold futures ended at Rs 61,018 on Wednesday, down 207 or 0.34% while the December Silver futures settled at Rs 72,781, lower by Rs 523 or 0.71%. Gold futures on the MCX have gained by 0.28% or Rs 170 per 10 gram on the month-to-date basis, Analyst Anuj Gupta, Head Commodity & Currency, HDFC Securities informed.
