Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.1% in a weak market
Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 2.07 per cent) and Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 0.24 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 1.49 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd.(down 1.0 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.91 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 0.21 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(down 0.21 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was up 0.1 per cent at 701.8 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 9.5 points at 19792.5, while the BSE Sensex was down 47.62 points at 65970.19.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
