Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.25% in an upbeat market
Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(up 0.91 per cent), GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 0.88 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.87 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 0.85 per cent) and Lupin Ltd.(up 0.77 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 1.21 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.0 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(down 0.53 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(down 0.4 per cent) and Pfizer Ltd.(down 0.22 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.25 per cent at 16268.25 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 151.0 points at 20837.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 467.31 points at 69332.43.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, IFCI, YES Bank, PNB and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
