Extreme Healthcare Experts performer country blues hospital valuation Cautious due to valuation reasons; mid and smallcap space filled with landmines: Vinay Paharia
Vinay Paharia, CIO, PGIM India MF, says “financials is an area of opportunity, to be very frank because there are lots of good quality companies or private banks or NBFCs with very strong structural growth ahead of them. These are the companies which have much higher than average return on equity and they have clearly been stable businesses. We are clearly overweight private banks and non-bank financial companies and see this as a great source of opportunity.” What is your market outlook in terms of how the valuations stack up versus the earnings growth that we have seen in the quarter gone by? Definitely the valuations currently are at a premium and are seemingly capturing most of the fundamentals for the next six months to one year. We have borrowed some returns from the future and hence, for the near term we are a little bit cautious purely on valuation reasons.

Digital Booking Extreme Experts show country 3 points to consider while analysing companies based on fundamentals
Vivek Karwa, Chief Executive Officer — Vridhi Investment, says “the first thing to look at is how long the company has been in business. That is one important point. And is there any more? For example, when you talk about paints, which company comes to your mind? When you talk about theatres, which company comes to your mind? So there are companies which have extremely high moat and brand recall. Those companies always tend to do better.” What is fundamental analysis and what should one keep in mind while analyzing companies based on fundamentals? There is no one fixed formula even in fundamental analysis. There are so many things. And anytime you analyze a company, there are so many revolving parts and you have got to put everything together and then come to a conclusion whether you want to buy or not.

FIVE Waters pandemic Experts outbreak 2020 prevention Finance ministry releases Rs 10,000 crore in urgent aid for NREGS
finance ministry has released ₹10,000 crore in urgent assistance to meet unexpected enhanced expenditure under the rural job guarantee scheme until the first batch of supplementary demands for grants is approved by parliament at its next session, a senior official said. The unusual move came after 95% of the FY24 budgetary outlay of ₹60,000 crore for the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) was exhausted well before the commencement of the winter session of parliament, thanks to a rise in work demand, the official told ET. The urgent funds, released last week to the rural development ministry, will form a part of the additional ₹28,000 crore that could be allocated for the scheme in the first batch of supplementary demands for grants for FY24, he said. The government is yet to announce the dates for the winter session of parliament. At a pre-budget meeting in October, the rural development ministry had asked the finance ministry for additional funds for the rural employment scheme due to enhanced work demand. More people sought work under the MGNREGS until October this fiscal year from a year before, contradicting initial official projections of a moderation in demand. This is mainly due to an erratic monsoon that prevented the usual migration of workers to farming and a tentative industrial recovery, experts have said.
