In a conversation with PTI, Vohra outlined the commission's strategic plan, which is divided into short-term, mid-term, and long-term goals aimed at bolstering India's water management infrastructure. «We are creating Vision 2047 for ourselves, keeping in view the challenges, especially climate change, which has led to new emerging issues,» Vohra said. He said the strategy involves a comprehensive approach to deal with the immediate, medium, and long-term needs of water management in the country.

Why did the local administration try to cover up the crime? Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has been awarded the highest number of police gallantry medals — 52 — on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day. The Union Home Ministry declared the names of the awardees on Wednesday. Out of the total medals, 25 decorations have been awarded for action during operations in Jammu and Kashmir while 27 are for operations in the anti-Maoist operations in various Left Wing Extremism affected states, a senior CRPF officer said. Among the awardees is Sub-Inspector Raushan Kumar who has been honoured with the bravery medal posthumously for his gallant action against Maoists in Bihar in February 2019.

WazirX announced on Wednesday that it is ending its custody arrangement with Liminal Custody following a major hack that resulted in the theft of Rs 2,000 crore ($230 million) from its multisig wallet. The Indian cryptocurrency exchange is currently in the process of migrating its remaining assets from Liminal Custody to new multisig wallets to enhance security. This move comes nearly a month after the breach that saw a significant portion of customer funds disappear. The hack on July 18 led to the loss of 45% of the exchange's customer funds. To prevent further issues and secure remaining assets, WazirX is taking careful steps to transfer its funds.

Strategic Minerals, Union Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy announced Monday. This decision was taken during 6th Governing Body meeting of the National Mineral Exploration Trust (NMET). This not-for-profit trust operationalised by the union Mines Ministry is funded by levies on proceeds from sale of domestically produced minerals in the county. Its purpose is to encourage carrying out of regional and detailed exploration for augmentation of the country’s mineral resources. An official statement said a 25% exploration incentive for agencies engaged in discovering Critical and Strategic Minerals will “significantly enhance exploration efforts in these vital areas, contributing to India's self-reliance in mineral resources.”
